Breads of the Creative Cities BOOK (Ed. 2019)

The new edition of the book dedicated to the Breads of the Creative Cities project has just been released! This beautiful collection features ingredients, recipes, and cultural stories of traditional breads from 50 UNESCO Creative Cities. Each city highlights one or more special breads that symbolize its unique culture and culinary history. The book not only celebrates the rich diversity of global baking traditions, but also serves as a powerful reminder of the deep connections between cultures through food. It sheds light on key global issues such as nutrition, sustainable farming, food production, community development, and social participation. The Creative Knowledge Platform methodology has been used to tell the stories of bakers and their breadmaking techniques, which are integral to the cultural identities tied to specific places.
