The Breads of the Creative Cities Project – V Edition Outcomes, 2024

The XVI UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Conference, held from July 1st to 5th in Braga, Portugal was a important opportunity to present the fifth edition results of the Breads of the Creative Cities project, and its impact in promoting cultural heritage, sustainability, and innovation in breadmaking across UNESCO Creative Cities.

A key highlight was the upcoming fifth edition of the Breads of the Creative Cities book, developed in collaboration with 65 UNESCO Creative Cities from 32 countries. This edition reflects the project’s mission to celebrate diverse baking traditions while aligning with the conference’s theme: “20 Years of UCCN: Bringing Youth to the Table for the Next Decade.”

By fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration, Breads of the Creative Cities continues to strengthen connections between cities, emphasizing the role of creativity and cultural traditions in shaping sustainable futures.
