Are you a traditional baker, miller or farmer from UNESCO Creative City?

Breads of the Creative Cities – Special Edition 2020-21

The Breads of the Creative Cities project was launched by the CK Foundation during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a special edition called “Breads from Creative Cities – Local Traditional Bakers,” dedicated to bakers around the world.

The first local edition of the project, Panettieri d’Italia – Breads from Creative Cities, focused on Italian bakers and was launched in Fabriano UNESCO Creative City with support from the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Recognized as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was featured in a call by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Secretariat “Initiative in response to the Covid-19 pandemic”. Panettieri d’Italia – Breads from Creative Cities aims to encourage families to rediscover the traditional flavors of “home-made” food and to foster connections between generations through the simplest of ingredients: flour and water. The goal is to celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of each community’s traditions while sharing the rich culture of their “bread” heritage.
